Valor Student Garden

At Valor North K-12 School, we volunteered design and estimating services, grant support, and got our hands dirty helping to install their first raised garden beds that include vegetable, herbs, and cut flowers! Today a healthy Gardening Program is up and running and is incorporated into their curriculum.

It’s My Park Day

We love helping out local parks and schools through Austin Parks Foundation in the Spring and Fall on It’s My Park Day. There is nothing better than seeing the before and after work of weeding, mulching, and planting with the help of volunteers!

ULI Hines Student Urban Design Competition

The ULI Hines Student Competition is a core education initiative of Urban Land Institute. Multidisciplinary teams engage in a challenging exercise in responsible land use. This competition encourages young people to create better communities, improve development patterns, and increases awareness of the need for multidisciplinary solutions to solve development and design challenges. We volunteered as a professional mentor for the Yard Commons team at The University of Texas – Austin in 2023 and look forward to helping again in the years to come.

Austin Angels Gardening Day

Circle V teamed up with a few selected Austin Angels’ families to have a gardening day! Circle V provided each family with a raised garden kit, seeds, live plants, and everything needed to start and care for a raised vegetable garden. We helped put together the planter and explained how to care for each plant. Our favorite part? Seeing the kids and their families get excited about getting their hands dirty!

Urban Roots Farm

At the farm, we enjoy helping harvest fruits and vegetables, weeding the fields, and meeting other like minded folks in the Austin community. 75% of the produce on the farm is used to improve food access for neighbors in need and the other 25% is sold to wholesale and restaurant partners.
